What then? Do you wait until you have it all perfectly sorted out? Do you ‘fake it till you make it”?

Here is my simple cure for this ailment…write. That’s right, just write, or record video, audio or create your art – whatever is at the center of your creative communications. What about? Anything that gets you excited, your creative juices flowing, your passion amplified.
Write ANYTHING, even if it seems immaterial to your offering, your brand or current business model. Anything is better than nothing – for your confidence, connection with your tribe, momentum that can carry you to the promise land.
Your audience connects with YOU, not your ‘brand’. Yeah, it’s ok to ditch this overused and near-meaningless term. Apple’s Steve Jobs hated the word and it’s ok for you to let go of it. Replace it with ‘value’ or ‘service’, or whatever really speaks to you.
You are amazing in your own unique way. I’ll say it again, you are amazing… in your own… unique way. If you don’t have a calm certainty about your offering or business model, it’s probably because of one of these two reasons: you are either trying to cram all that awesomeness into an itty-bitty box or you don’t trust yourself.
Writing/creating will help you tap powerfully into your unique awesomeness and will serve your audience infinitely more than ‘proper’ communications designed to enhance your ‘brand’.
The clarity WILL come if you keep putting yourself into the powerful energy flow of the creative process. You WILL see what topics truly kindle your spirit and what your audience really wants from you. How do I know? Well, where did you think I got this from, wink wink.
